Implementation

Implementation is the process of putting a software solution into its operation. While these activities are usually not managed by just one company in the same project, we have capabilities to do it all for you.
During the implementation phase the following activities are taking places:

Project quality assurance

Before the start of project implementation and/or system support, project teams must agree on the quality measures such as approach, timeframe and a real value that need to be met, in order to consider  the project and /or  system support  delivered successfully. It is also necessary to establish procedures for registering and monitoring fixes of poor quality or non-conforming processes / documentation that occurs within the project, and support.

Project monitoring and controlling
Proper supervision of the project means detecting problems that may arise during the implementation, on time. By doing so the project is kept "under control" meaning it is held under the financial and functional terms.

Project Management

After selecting the right solution one of the most important thing is project management.
Good quality project management is crucial for the success of the project. A project manager is a person responsible for coordinating project from its beginning to its end. Project manager assembles and coordinates all the resources on the project, which constitutes basis for fulfillment of agreed terms and successful completion of the project.
ESKA project managers can help customers and/or partners in running their project towards the common goal which is to create a solution that will make their everyday job easy and enjoyable.

Application design of NAV system

In the application design we define what functionalities should the system contain in order to support predefined requirements.  With the functional design we get a big picture that explains what the solution will look like and what business processes it will support. Business consultants are responsible for creating a specification of the system functionality that will explain all processes to be supported by the new solution. The specification is then forwarded to our technical consultants who will then develop a technical solution that will work the way it should.

Technical design NAV system

After the functional design had been created, technical consultants are moving into designing a solution to operate in a way to support all business processes that are specified in the system functionality specification. The developed technical solution will give a picture of how the solution will work.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV installation

Installation is carried out according to customer’s needs and characteristics of the user environment. Depending on the version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, the solution supports both centralized and distributed architecture with the various configurations of the Microsoft application stack.

* Newer version of Microsoft Dynamics NAV system supports three-tier architecture, which contributes to process efficiency, greater security and allows for easier installation and maintenance.

With the installation we make sure that the selected option best suits the needs of the users and after the application is installed or placed on the computers, we move onto a detailed system parameterization.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV parameterization

For the system to match its possibilities to individual roles and processes in your company, it has to be adjusted.

Besides defining different levels of system access, it is possible to create a role that will suit you and your employees, managing the security and ease of operation. The implications of these options are clear, detailed Parametization assists employees in doing their job flawlessly, depending on their role.

Other parameterizations are related to the business operation itself. According to your business operations our consultants will carefully configure the system to fully accommodate your business policies. Here we will assist you in creating your documents, forms, reports, and altogether in configuring the business logic of your needs.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV customization

If the standard system configuration (parameterization) is not sufficient enough for the proper system setup, then we have to further customize Microsoft Dynamics NAV. Here our technical consultants further develop NAV so it fits the exact customer requirements and their way of doing business.

System Integration (NAV with other systems)

If your company uses other additional systems, it is necessary to ensure that the implementation of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV will not compromise their performance and that at no time will the flow of business information be disrupted or stopped.
It is therefore necessary to integrate Microsoft Dynamics NAV with other systems in order to optimize and automate all business processes as much as possible. Integration will give you a complete solution that will help you work easier and faster.

Tailored user training

To ensure our clients are ready to start using Microsoft Dynamics NAV, we provide them with tailored user training. Our consultants are ready to assist your employees in completing their everyday tasks, and/or in carrying out specific activities in your business.

Testing

To ensure that the new ERP solution is implemented in accordance with the client’s requirements, it is important to test the solution. Each setup, configuration of the system, integration with other systems, and data migration should be tested to determine whether the new system supports client’s business processes.

It is important that both the client and ESKA participate in testing to make the testing environment as similar as possible to the client’s working environment, so the same business processes can get tested.
With detailed and high quality testing we can detect and remove any possible errors in the operation of the ERP system, and thereby ensure a smooth and satisfying work in the system.

Microsoft Dynamics NAV preparation guide

In addition to user training we can provide you with an additional written guidance about working in Microsoft Dynamics NAV system, that will be of great help to you.
These are not just standard instructions for using the system but a specifically created detailed guide tailored to your needs and business processes.

Data migration

Data migration means transfer of current data from a client’s old system to the new being implemented. Although it sounds simple, this process requires consultants’ expertise as well as good quality and complete business data from the client. It is important to distinguish which data is to be transffered and where, data quantity and accuracy, and also identification of any historical data the client wants to keep.
Once the data is transferred to the new system it is vital to conduct the system testing, to make sure no error occurred in data transmission and that the data transferred is accurate. This process must be carried out professionally and carefully, because without the accurate data, the user will not be able to start his work in the new system.

Data migration is a central process in putting information systems in work that also integrates data from other system not similar to Microsoft Dynamics NAV. During the migration it is necessary to take into account all other systems the company uses as well as any methods used for storing the data. All this requires additional preparatory work in order to synchronize formats for data transformation.
The following steps are necessary in every migration process:
- identify data to be transferred
- define format of the transferred data
- select and configure a tool for transfer/migration
- validate (clean) data
- test the process

Microsoft Dynamics NAV offers several possibilities for integrating systems including migration of data to and from them. With standard data ports and XML features it is possible to automatically connect Microsoft Dynamics NAV with other Microsoft systems.

Support (during project)

Support during projects involves our advisory role in the management and maintenance of the project, assistance in management and administration, and working with the project team. It also involves analyzing project’s life cycle, and offering consulting services and education related to project management (PM).

Microsoft Dynamics NAV Upgrade

To prevent any business troubles caused by constant market and legal changes, Microsoft and its partners are always striving to improve Microsoft Dynamics NAV with new functionalities. As technology is improving at a fast pace, it is essential for the business system to always be up-to-date. This means it should follow the latest technology so it can monitor company's operations in current circumstances, and therefore support and accelerate its growth.
For all these reasons it is necessary to upgrade your Microsoft Dynamics NAV to a newer and better version to push your business to a further progress.
